My husband and I stayed at the hotel and ate here often. The food is simple, fresh, and quite reasonable. The open air environment is relaxing. Banana pancakes, mahimahi burgers with fries, seared mahi on a salad, very cold beers, I couldn't have asked for better.

Good local food in friendly environment, but trees block the beach so don't expect a sunset view. Fish was fresh and very good.

With high ceilings, dark woods, beautiful tables, and large windows open to the beach, our meals we had at this rustic/charming restaurant were wonderful. We ate our breakfasts outside, on the wraparound deck, and enjoyed an evening dinner with our group of 7, around a large, beautiful dark wood table, in the main dining room.

We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here several days and were quite pleased with the food quality and prices. One of us is a vegetarian and there was plenty for us to eat.

My tenderloin in the cocinada cut with a butter knife. And it was delicious :P The "boca" (app) was lunch-sized. Not as low-priced as I'd expected, but way more delicious.

I spent two days on the toilet after eating there. Bring Pepto!

Good menu, but average food. I tried the "dorado" fish, the price it's ok for a touristic area. Service was OK

Perfect local menu, not trying to be more. Fresh fish and rice and vegetables all from costa rica. Fruit smoothies! Add rum later for a daquiri. Cokes, beers, water, wine, juice. Midday snack. Excellent breakfast. Loved it all!

We highly recommend LAS TORTUGAS is you are planning on staying in the Playa Grande area. The hotel is right on the beach, and the restaurant is situated overlooking the blue ocean.
