We tried the chicken curry and snapper in pineapple - both were really tasty. We sat outside looking onto the river. Inside was less than inviting as i found out when looking for the restroom (which i didn't use).

the food is really tasty. had nyonya food here, which was really a wonderful meal, and it is at an affordable price. i sat at the back, which faced the melaka river, so the view was fantastic. a lovely place to visit for everyone in melaka. a combination of great food and beautiful scenery.
If you're looking at getting away from the tourist frenzy on Jonker Street, then Riverine is a good alternative for dinner with its riverside location. It is almost directly across from St Francis Xavier church and is accessible if you walk along the river bank path away from the historical square. You must get a table outside facing the river...

A little restaurant serving the local nyonya food. We were lucky to get a table outside by the riverside, a lovely setting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband had their special chicken with black nut, which he loved. I had a good choice of vegetable dishes. The eggplant was delicious.
We were there once for a drink outside, along the river (relaxing), then we were back for lunch inside. Decoration is rather poor BUT the food is excellent: we tried the spicy rojak sambal spicy fruit salad, ayam buah keluak (chicken with a specific candle nut tasting a bit like black olive paste...), and a fish curry and all was...

We had dinner here and it was really good. The food was awesome and the staff were friendly and very helpful. It was really nice sitting next to the river. The food was fresh and quick to be served, the only downside was our kids meals wete last to come out. It wasnt too long though. Definately would return again.
We were walking along the river and noticed some menus on the table. It looked interesting but we had made up our mind to try another eatery suggested by our host. Unfortunately when we got there but it was closed so perhaps it was meant to be that we went back to Riverine.
The lady was lovely (as we have...

We were looking for somewhere to have dinner and not many places where open. Then we spotted Riverine. We tried the Ayam Masak O', a chicken stew, with rice. The flavours were perfectly balanced, it was delicious and very satisfying, like tasty home-cooking.
Loved this place, the lady that runs it was very sweet and friendly. Food was good and was nice to sit by the river.
I noticed this place with it's tables overlooking the river and St Frances Xavier church, and it seemed like the perfect view for dinner. The waitress was very helpful when I asked for something local and spicy and suggested I try the ayam buah keluak - chicken with black nuts, which are apparently a Nyonya specialty. She was kind enough...
