The high view and open surroundings make for a pleasant meal, served with attentiveness, good choice of mainly North and East Indian dishes, well-ccoked and presented. This an area at the Southern edge of Salt Lake City which is starved of good restaurants and Charnock City has been an old faithful over the past decade.

Very good view. Very poor service. We were forced to accept the manager's suggestions. Half the things listed on the menu were not available. The seafood was undercooked. Not going there again.

You can get even plain rice and "postar bara", a Bengali delicacy, here (on request). Being at the top floor, you also get to see the Kolkata skyline from a table beside a window.
