LMB is a Jaipur institution not to be missed. We have been going there since the 1970s and have never been disappointed. This time I just had time for a drink and a snack but was very glad to have done so. Just had time too to browse the jampacked sweets counter. It's definitely on the list for another visit.

We went to LMB for the famous Rajasthani Thal. It was a very forgettable experience. 1. Their service is quite deplorable. You have to constantly ask for refills for the thal. Being from Ahmedabad where you get refills even before asking for it at thali places like Pakvan, Atithi or Sarbhara, I found it very demeaning. And then you were... More

Every time we visit Jaipur we have at least one meal at LMB. The menu is extensive with many delicious vegetarian treats. Local people patronise the restaurant, so you know it is authentic. The restaurant is located in a busy street which runs up to the main intersection of the old pink city and Hawa Mahal, a local tourist attraction.... More

The food is very good. But do not ask the Thali... I enjoyed the Lassi. The costume and mustache of the doorman Are so beautiful.

Although, I didn't like the ambience of this restaurant as they have tried to mix tradition with the modern so that the lady managers walk around in sarees and blazers and the decor is no Rajasthan at all, I really loved the food. The snacks are awesome and one morning we had a truly authentic Rajasthani breakfast consisting of Bidda... More

The ambiance is simple but the food, especially the Daal Baatti is the best I've had in Rajasthan outside of a private home. Not to be missed if in Jaipur

My memories of LMB goes back to their service in silverware and smile. Both (silverware & smile) have dented away over the time. The food quality was very average. While kids enjoyed their kulfi & icecream, the rest of the family wasn't too impressed.

Folklore I guess plays a large role in making a place sound relevant. But the truth is that LMB is a regular sweetmeat shop that also serves Rajasthani food - dal baati, gatta, kadhi etc. Go there if you want to try Rajasthani vegetarian fare, but you will get better, on the streets of Jaipur or any other restaurant. It’s... More
