The place is crowded. Though they clear out people pretty fast. There are thalis and you can order a la carte as well. Thali being Gujarati, is very famous I understood but it was too much for me so I went a la carte. The food was divine. The rice itself is wonderful. The Dhal with palak in it was... More

Just have a thali and you will get to know the specialty of SAMRAT. Its thali is really Grand!!. Varieties are just full house. You will get everything you except from pure INDIAN THAALI. Service is fast for thaali but if you order something different, than you might get disappointed by service. But have Thaali. Kind Regards.. Sourabh Joshi

This is my favorite restaurant in Mumbai. The Gujarathi thali is a one of a kind thing there and for Rs. 350 (US$7), you are going to stuff yourself with at least 25 different tastes. Amazing, I have never had any food like this in India ever. The closest to this restaurant would be the unlimited thali at Saravana Bhavan... More

I had a few dinners at this place and being a non vegetarian i could not appreciate it so well. But their Gujarathi menu seemed quite vast and mouth watering. Rotis are made in Atta (for a change). Kaju/Cashew nut is an un avoidable thing in all curries and hence the sweet taste. There are very few spicy things here.... More

I visit this place for lunch whenever I am in Mumbai. The Gujarati Thali is excellent. The variety is more than one can eat. I always land up overeating here! Must visit!
