Description: In a small crescent of New Delhi, packed between houses of under secy's lies a stretch of land famous for its Butter Chicken and Brain Curry - for people acquainted with New Delhi, this is almost synonymous to The Pindi Restaurant. The Pindi charm has not diminished over the years. Defying traditional business calculations, which put the lifespan of a restaurant at 5 to 10 years, Pindi, which serves hearty Punjabi cuisine, has been around since 1952. Shri K L Wadhwa, its founder had a vision for Pindi which has been carried out successfully through generations. With delicacies like Butter Chicken, Dal Peshawari & Kashmiri Kebabs and specialty dishes like Brain Curry, Keema Kaleji and Mutton Burra Kebab, Pindi is really about GOOD, FINGER LICKING FOOD!

We were taken to Pindy's by our driver for dinner, the decor is charming but it's a large echoing place a little background music would be nice Service was good, food was adequate we had Butter Chicken our first in India, I prefer our local Nan was adequate nothing special, Tandoor Chicken was good not special, rice was tasteless, portions... I don't know how this restaurant is still running. May be just because of the location as there are not much options close to India Gate. Quality of food is very average. Cost of food is very high in comparison. Poor decor & servers. They don't have any discounts on any of the credit cards as well. I could figure... More

The restaurant is located in one of the posh areas of Delhi near India Gate. There are several more restaurants in this joint, but 'Pindi' has its own attraction. Ambiance, service and food are good. Every cuisine is tasty. One can experience very tasty preparation of non-veg dishes, like tandoori chicken. Even kebabs have a special ting. I along-with my... More

After the half of our free day in Delhi we went to this place for lunch, i read about it in the lonely planet and our driver also recommended it. I found the food really good, my tandoori chicken was perfect and a good choice after some days being vegetarian, ohhh and the garlic naan was unforgettable. The only thing... More

The Pindi Restaurant at Pandara Road is on my checklist of 5 places to eat at in Delhi everytime I visit. Its location ensures that I reach here with the least effort in commuting. Its very close to the Metro Station Khan Market and India Gate. I exceptionally like the Kebabs here. The Mutton chops which are soo tender and simply... More

I came from Kashmir and when I dined here 30 years back I was blown away with the food. I never thought that I would get good food from my place anywhere else in the world but this place changed my perception. I have tried a lot of restaurants after that over the last 30 years but have always been... More

They thought I did not know the difference between a Rs. 1,000 note and a Rs. 500 note and tried to short change me by Rs. 500. The notes do look too much alike, and similar to Rs. 100 notes, but that is not a mistake made by Indian cashiers--except on purpose for people who look like tourists. I broke... More

Just went there for lunch after our morning tour. It was recommended by the owners of our homestead. At first we thought it was a tourist trap but after settling in we notice that most of the people were locals and not just tourist. We had Kashmiri Chicken Kabob which was more than enough for two plus the rice. It... More

Compared to other restaurants the food was not good. The tandoori chicken was too dry and palak paneer was nearly flavorless. Service was okay. Ambiance was also okay compared to other Indian restaurants.
