Free WiFi gets everyone there and keeps them occupied but service is fast. The mango Slush was 75mm above the rim of the glass which was cause for fast slurping in the heat. Chinese noodles came with ample prawns and chicken pieces in a delicious soy sauce for under 10 Ringgit

The food at Ewan's is amazing. Everything I tried was delicious, and the place is always busy. Wifi is brilliant too. Ewan and his family are so friendly and create a great atmosphere in the restaurant. We also stayed in one of his chalets. These are basic, but from what I hear among the best value on Kecil, and very... More

Well, apart from the best Malay-food on Coral bay and the great (and therefore very popular) internet connnection, Ewan is the place where you'll end up sitting for hours - mostly because of Ewan himself. He is the most genuinly friendly acommodation- and restaurant owner we have met so far! He makes an effort to remember both your name and... More

this is a buzzing cafe everyone goes there to eat, drink and get connected. it's a great place to meet other travellers and to catch up with your emails. You can do Monitor spotting there too, as you're based high up you can look down at the monitor lizards walking about. The food is ok, there is a mix of... More

We were on perhentian one week at the middle of the february. Quite many places were closed, but still i belive this is best place on the island! Staff were VERY friendly and smiling all the time whole week. Food was delicious and reasonable prices. There was free Wi-Fi also for all customers and it was fast enough. I definetly... More

We went to Ewan several times during our stay on Pulau Perhentian Kecil. The food is very good and the service is friendly. The prices are very reasonable if you compare with other places on the island. I would have given them a 5 star ranking if not the issue I had with their bungalows. The bungalows look very nice... Friendly atmosphere, good service, reasonable prices, Wi-fi(!) and the best breakfasts. Owners and staff are very nice and helpful. Wi-fi is more stable at morning and it is for free. When we finished our food we´ve never had a feeling that we have to go and leave the place for other hungry guests. We loved fried banana with ice cream... More

Ewans Cafe is located near the pathway to Long Beach from Coral Bay. Everything we ate was very good. Became to my favourite the coconut vegetable, the banana fritter with ice cream and the fresh juices in the morning. If you eat meat you can choose from chicken, beef, and seafood (meat food was also delecious based on my brother... More

During our stay in Perhentian this was our place for breakfast, lunch and (some times) dinner. The owners are just great, like the little 2 years daughter that is constantly animating everybody. The food is very good and the fresh fruit juices as well.

Nestled on the pathway which connects Coral Bay to Long Beach Ewans Cafe has carved out its own niche. On a small tropical island where every business is located on the beach one would think a restaurant set back in the trees with no view would find it hard to compete. However instead of just competing Ewans has become the... More
