There is not much bad to say about this place but it is not the 2nd best place to eat.. They do a nice bowl of porridge, thats about it. A much better choice is Meruba just down the street.

A quaint little wooden shack on the shores of Tuktuk, Jenny's serves excellent local food. (They serve western dishes, but I didn't sample). Prices are in line with nearby restaurants, servings are enormous and the beer cold. The service is quite slow, but it seems to be a family run operation and, to be fair, the fish seems to be...

Owner of this reastaurant is very funny and helpful guy! Western food is best we've had in our trip! Fresh fish from the lake looks very good and fresh! Might want to try it if you like fish. Cool place to hang out and eat. Best of Samosir!
We had the roast pork and BBQ fish 2 days in a row. Service is better than other nearby places. We ate at one just few steps away that took more than 80min to prepare lunch and that is after we complained at least 4 times.
The free salad is also very good but the fried veges is too spicy....

I like the family that run this place, open, laughing they make the restaurant. Some dishes are terrific, some need work - try it.
The quality of food is inconsistent. Great coffee one day turns into bitter experience the next day. Also the bbq fish everybody is raving about is not anywhere near as good as the one made by a very lovely lady at Alyssa. Vegetable omelette was greasy, it wasn't bad, but it was below average. Nice place and views, the owner...

Food are very salty there.... and I think not only Jenny's, but across Tuk Tuk!! If you can get passed the saltiness of the food, they are actually quite tasty. Service is a bit slow, and tables are limited. so be there early.
Went here once and there was only one table besides ours. It took them almost an hour to prepare our dinner. Food was good, but the staff was not friendly at all. Strange, since we've read such positive things here! Think we just picked the wrong day?
