On first sight, we were not sure if we should try out here or not. We were the only people there. However, the food was really taste and the service speed was amazing.

The name punjab would give you the expectations of getting some kind of punjabi meal. but the delivery is less than poor. neither is it punjabi nor is it spicy as it would be. so a bit disappointed.

We ordered one Chicken curry and a veg curry. Both tested the same. They use the same masala I guess. No taste. Both the curries looked black in color. They dont accept cards. The inside also is bit congested. Better avoid this.

We ate here once and were sorely disappointed. I had palak paneer which was not good, the paneer was awful. My boyfriend ordered the butter chicken which was barely spiced and had only a tiny amount of meat. The meal was expensive and service was slow and inattentive. We ended up getting food from another restaurant later.

Visited New Punjab for lunch, and the reception was bad; the staff was sitting and chatting, they didnt bother that a customer has come in; later we ordered Veg Hot and Sour Soup, and the waiter got Chicken Soup instead.. he had to change it again. well, nothing great about the food, very cold, and the Tandoori Roti was not... We went to New Punjab after reading several reviews. However we found the hotel staffs and food cold like Kodai weather. The place is too small and they even dont have a restroom. The staffs are just busy chatting with themselves and the chairs are a bit old. The food is also normal with added punjabi flavor. Nothing great about... More

I always give a food joint its due credit if it's doing what it's meant to catering to the right segment and having basics like hygience and service right. I think the New Hotel Punjab strikes the right balance, right from when you enter, a small place for waiting people to sit (weekends its mostly half an hour waiting, proof... More

I have been a regular at this restaurant since its inception in the late 1980s. My loyalty to Hotel Punjab is three-fold: 1) The mouth-watering dishes are etched on my taste buds and are comparable to some of the finest eateries that I have visited during my global escapades. 2) The dedication and loyalty of the staff is truely commendable...
