Governments and poiliticians could learn a lot from the Guru - Ka - Langar, everyone is welcome here ,irrespective of race , creed or colour and served free food without prejudice. We were led into the huge hall and sat cross legged and served Daal , chapatis and Kheer by volunteers and could have as much or as little as... More

Eating with all the people from various backgrounds on the floor in the house of God was a truly great experience of human equality. Food, though basic, was enjoyable in very spiritual atmosphere. At the end of day, it's free simple meal for anybody served 24hrs for 365 days. Nothing can beat such an experience.

No matter what's your religion or background, but you are all equal in front of God. That's the principal behind this devotee only meal service. Their efficiency, crowd management and food service beats all odds. It's a must have experience if you ever visit the Swarna Mandir.

This is the one thing you need to do in Amritsar after visiting the Golden Temple. The Langar is amazing but its the whole experience of seeing how it works, how hard people work and how quick the turn around it so they can feed as many people as they can for free. Fantastic!

Guru Ka Langar at Darbar Sahib is the best is the world. No cuisine or hotel can match it. Hats off to the sewadars who manage it so efficiently feeding thousands of people everyday. After all its Guru Ramdas Sahib Ji whos managing it all. Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fateh

The food, devotion of volunteers, the setting, the atmosphere, the simplicity and the equality with which everyone is served is an experience not to be missed. Do not forget to have the delicious "chai" after the meal and to see the amazing roti making machine!
