After a long and very tiring ride on a horse up and around the lake, I welcomed the wonderful traditional food: potatoes, cabbage, corn and chicken. Very delicious with not too much oil or salt. The cafe' was open-air with basic seating...nothing fancy. But, the food was delicious for only 20rmb.

Thank you for the helpful directions. My partner and I managed to locate the restaurant but found it to be closed and it was about 7pm which appeared odd. There were signs up on the window in Mandarin and the security shutters were all down. We asked next door whether it would be open tomorrow or a bit later and... More

Hard to find place, but worth the walk from old town into new town.
