My husband and I went to the restaurant to celebrate our 1st year married, mainly because this restaurant is the 4th better world’s restaurant.
We were so lucky; 15 minutes after we arrived in the restaurant someone cancelled the reservation, so we didn’t have to wait long. We ordered the tasting menu that was, in my opinion, just average… we...

I went to DOM twice. During my first time around, I felt that the place was extremely overrated. None of the plates served at the tasting menu were, in any way, remarkable. When you are paying 4 figures for a meal (with wine, 2 guests) you expect at least a few dishes to be memorable. Wine service is a joke....

Arrived at D.O.M.; I travelled in so many cities and great restaurant that I expect a greta food & service.
Unluckily, the food is very good, but service and table set up are not up to the standards and at this level, see a tablecloth not ironed is a huge disappoint.
If this is the top 4 - 2012 San...

It's not like the food is bad (the guy is a top world chef afterwards), The problem, in my opinion iss that it's just regular and way too expensive. Place is nice, but when we went (a long weekend when the city was empty everywhere but there) we waited for 1,5h to be seated. One also don't get much of...

It is discouraging to see that DOM and Mr. Atala, the star chef, have garned such good reviews in international food and wine magazines.
Even by Sao Paulo standards, where mediocre food is incredibly expensive compared to the United States and Europe, DOM exceeds all levels of impropriety and greed. A sub-par four-course tasting meal, accompanied by four sub-par wines...

I read the reviews before I left, so I wasn't expecting much on the service side. It did take awhile to get a menu, honestly sort of a ridiculous amount of time. The couple that came in after us, got their menu and even a bottle of champagne first. They seemed to be regulars though and I can appreciate on...

It was a special moments with friends in São Paulo. They always want to taste new restaurants and all our friends were talking about D.O.M and we´ve decided to go.
We went in march for lunch, it was a very nice moment and the details more than the food were special . I will not forget.
The prices are high...

I went to eat at D.O.M on april 2012 and the experience of the food was quite amazing, no wonder it is one of the best in the world. If you ever visit this restaurant try the tasting menu of 8 plates, it is worth every penny.
Although there were some issues that really concerned me, Since i'm a restauranteur...
