We just had dinner (table of 4) at D.O.M in Sao Paulo. The experience was just not right. We can not understand how this restaurant based on his food could be rated 6th in the world. The restaurant inside has beautiful high ceilings....and its just about it, well the kitchen integrated in the restaurant looks nice as well. We had... More

Everything is actually remarkable. Service is excellent, wine list is top notch and the food.. The 4-dish menu is just amazing. An exquisite mix of flavors. On top of all that, star-chef Alex Atala was on the house and was available to talk to people and take pictures. It's expensive indeed but it's worth every penny!!

Brazilians should be proud of Alex Atala! This great chef surprises us each time with his D.O.M.! His use of native Brazilian ingredients in haute cuisine makes each bite special. He restaurant itself is beautiful and well located in Sao Paulo city. But the food is what make us attemped to come back again and again and again!

I'll admit I probably (no, I definitely) would not have gone here were it not on a company business lunch with clients and I could expense the meal. The decor and ambiance were lovely. The food was superb. And the service, contrary to some reviews here, was excellent for our party. (though we were there for lunch and not dinner,... More

The chef Alex Atala demonstrates extraordinary refinement in their recipes. The kitchen can be seen thru a glass window, where customers have the opportunity to see the dishes being prepared. Try the special tasting menu with four or eight suggestions.

We visited this place last evening, for sao Paolo this is one of the best restaurants. The food was fantastic with full of flavours. I recommend trying the 4 course or 8 course meal. The restaurant atmosphere was very nice as well, service was equally good. We spoke with Alex and he gave us menu cards to take back and... More

First the positives. The restaurant is in a nice neighborhood and the decor inside is elegant. Everyone at DOM was extremely attentive from the hostess to the food runners. Additionally, Alex Atala was there and he greeted folks at the tables. From a service standpoint I would rate this place five stars; however, I went there to eat! I had... More

I had recently relocated to Brazil and after having tried some of the more standard restaurants decided that it was time to try DOM, known not only as Brazil's best restaurant, but also one of the top 50 restaurants in the world. Service was excellent as is customary for restaurants at this level and if there was a Guide Michelin... More
