We stumbled across the Black Swan en route from Iguassu to Praia Mole towards the end of our trip round Brazil. I resisted the temptation to have a pint of London Pride which is my local beer back home but did have the fish and chips. There was even rugby on TV !! Simon, the landlord, was an interesting person... More

Run by a friendly Englishman, staffed by friendly Brazilians. As a Pub, and especially an English pub its nothing special. The draft beer is normal Brazlian, in other words relatively tasteless. The selection of British beers is rather limited, and rather expensive. The decor is more sports bar than pub. That said, if you want a cold beer, watch football,... More

We went to two of the quiz nights, which are good fun and ate here another night, the food is good and the service excellent. We felt had had been overcharged one night and took our query to Steve the owner and it was resolved no fuss. A properly run pub creating a friendly enjoyable atmosphere, happy to recomend.

It's a nice place in Lagoa Village in Florianópolis. Rock and pop bands starts at arond 22:30 'till 2:30. Admitance around R$ 15,00 (U$ 8,00). On saturday nights, be there before 22:00, as the place gets crowded and you may not be able to get inside.

the place is pretty, the waiters and waitresses are gentle, but the food is not that great as I was expecting reading the other reviews

I am a "little" out of Floripa in the last 10 months, but, as far as I know, this is the only place there that you can really feel like in a English pub. Maybe because the owners are British (Irish?), they know that some details are very important: the cold air (strong AC), low ceiling, bittersweet english sauce in... More

We only drank here but the service was great from the beginning. The waiter learnt my name which made us seem like old friends very quickly. His recommendations were great and he even let us try a Caipirossa for free! Great value for money, especially in Happy Hour where you can get one beer, bloody mary or red label for... More

I moved from California to Florianopolis for a year, and my first visit to the Black Swan was in my first week. Literally all of the dozens of treasured relations I built in Florianopolis have their origins at the Swan. I frequented the pub to meet friends, watch sports and for the famed Quiz Night at least three times per... More
