In reading the other reviews I was somewhat surprised, as I thought Zuka was incredible. I recently returned from spending 6 weeks and Rio and this was my favorite restaurant. The food was incredible - ceviche appetizers and garlic breaded shrimp were my favorites, but the Filet was also incredible. The ambiance is quite nice, not extraordinary but I actually... More

Nice interior design (but not WOW) and lively/trendy location as well (at the heart of Leblon). As in so many places you will find an open kitchen and international fusion food. This is a little bit boring I must admit. Zuca is an upscale restaurant, not a gourmet one. Not worth queuing for (fortunately we asked the concierge of our... More

The waiters were attentive and courteous but the food was just average in quality and fairly expensive. I would try somewhere else on another visit.

Ok maybe it was the overload of shrimp dishes after 2 weeks of Bahia which made us appreciate this meal even more - but it was simply spectacular amazing food. I had the lulas grelhadas which were super tender and tasty, and my partner had the filé mignon, which was soft like butter. Also the Zuka margeritas are highly recommendable.... More

Similar to a recent review I did for Brigite's, this restaurant is very close to it and on a very happening street. Cool zone, good food, good service. A bit pricey but worth it for the cool factor. I had the dish which is actually pictured next to their name in their profile. It was a seared tuna in a... More

Had dinner here on first night in Rio. Unfortunately did not have enough time to go back for more. Food was delicious. Casual atmosphere and seems to attract the locals as well as tourist. I was told to book a reservation but had no problem as a walk in.

We really enjoyed the food at zuki and followed the advice of the hotel concierge to book ahead. The place has your traditional cheeseburger served delicious French fries and ribs balanced with a mango inspired purée. The place gets full and is frequented by locals as well as tourists, making it a veritable establishment. The sister restaurant right next door,... More

We loved this restaurant. The food was very inventive. The atmosphere was casual. As previously mentioned, the tables are close, but that's OK. We enjoyed speaking with 4 gentleman from Namibia at the next table. The fois gois experience really wan an experience. Wonderful fois grois , served with a meringue. Very different, but a little too sweet. I highly... More

I visited this restaurant last night with a business associate. This was my second time there after 4 years since my last visit to Rio. We had reservations at 7:30pm, and at 8pm it was already full! The waiters are so accomodating, even though they spoke a little bit of English they really tried their best so I could understand... More

A very trendy restaurant, nice decoration (at least the first room), kind waiters...but I was desapointed by the food...just another fusion and international foodind you can have in Paris, New-York or anywhere in international capitals. Neither good, nor bad and...quite expensive. A kind of "supplément d'âme" miss both in the place and in the plate...

Hi Mediterranean Lover, Yes, fusion started 15 years ago, but that doesnt mean the chefs stopped being creative. Rock and Roll goes back to Chuck Berry, but the Arctic Monkeys are producing hits that make aged rock critics lift an eyebrow. And, while most of Rio raves about Zuka`s grilled steaks, here is what I think is worth the attention... More
