This restaurant is mainly specialized in regional food, but you can find a huge variety of foods on the self-service scheme. The atmosphere is really nice, all the waiters dressed with regional costumes. No alcooholic beverages.

Mangai is a buffet style restaurant but NOT "all you can eat", it is charged by weight, so you pay what you eat. There fresh salad and fruit table, and a hot buffet includes a very local dishes from the northeast countryside. They own a farm, where they make their fresh juices and all the cheeses. In the restaurant they...

People in João Pessoa talk so much about Mangai that it soon starts to get under your skin. Nonetheless, it is still a must go for regional dishes, at an affordable price (R$ 43,90 per kg as of March 2013). What it is not is haute cuisine, but everything is well prepared. I would skip the fodder and go for...

Another fine example of the achitect Sandra Moura, very informal ambience and you can eat a full meal or just have a snack!
Went to Mangai once again and confirmed the excellent food and the huge variety they offer. It is a place where is definitely worth the price.

ONe of the most tradiconal restaurants in João Pessoa. A must see, regional foods, fresh tropical fruits juices and delicious coconut candy try "tapioca" and "cocada"
At first, a bit more expensive than most restaurants in town, but the variety of regional foods is eye popping. All tasty, clean, impeccable service. I'll be back whenever we're in town.
This buffet restaurant offers the widest range of regional food in a very good quality. You pay by the weight of the food on your plate. The sitting area is basic, but charming, service is efficient and decent, the whole place is very clean. The Mangai is very popular and always busy.
