It is considered the best perusian restaurant outside Peru. Don't miss it! It has a great range from fish to meat. Excelent desserts. Nice ambience.

I like allmost everything at Taypa, especialy the food. I have been there several times just to eat ceviche, it's simply fantastic. Raw fish cured in lemmon and spices, that couldn´t be better. To drink I really need a wonderful white wine.

I just like everything at Taypa!. The environment, the service, the food. I have been there three times just to eat ceviche, their raw fish cooked, or cured, in lemmon and spices. Couldn´t be better, and consider I don´t like raw food. To drink I really need the wonderful Pisco Sour. The quality is pretty much the same we can... More

Very classy restaurant with a decent amount of seating. They have several different ceviches prepared and all of them are incredible delicious. The drinks are also very well prepared. However, the amount of food on each plate is small compared to the large price you will pay. Although the ceviches are their specialty they are not enough to eat for... More

Extensive menu produces melt in mouth starters and delicious and substantial main courses. Fish courses were excellent. Good wine list. Classy interior which has subdued tones but busy atmosphere. (Although the one diner wearing a vintage Scotland football shirt struck a discordant note and for me coming from Scotland it was amusing to see a Brazilian out of all nations... More

Although I've been to Peru many years ago, it is barely worth mentioning as I didn't eat at very special eatery there. So, I'm not sure how to compare this restaurant to the "real thing". Yet, it's hard to imagine that a Peruvian restaurant in Peru can be any better. The combination of flavors, Oriental and something else, which I'm... More

This is considered the best Peruvian restaurant in Brazil, but I was not impressed. It is expensive and the main courses were not so good (we were in 4, each one ordered a different dish, and everyone agreed they were not so good). But the drinks and the ceviche were really good.

Frankly I find this restaurant mildly disappointing, despite the rave reviews. "Fantastic" it is not!!! The approach to Taypa is pleasant enough (at the back of a small commercial center in one of the best parts of Lago Sul) and the parking very easy. If you like plastic tables and clunky ambience this is your kind of place. Surprisingly there... More

We went with a group of friends and ´last minute´decided to go to Taypa, as it is close from our home. What a delight! We found the ambience, decor, service and food to be exeptional. The decor is comtemporary but warm, the lighting in the dining room cozy. The service was eficient and friendly, the food...FANTASTIC and the drinks delicious.... More
