When I travel, I always look for local fare. When I am in Texas, I'm always told that the best local fare is at Rudy's. I had lunch here yesterday with business associates. I loved the causal setting and atmosphere. This is not a hoity-toity place for a formal dinner. This is a bar-b-que "joint."

They are everywhere so they are easy to get to. It's a nice stop when leaving Lake Travis for a day at the lake or you can run "up the road" for a casual dinner. I like the brisket and the "hottie" (hot sausage link) along with the beans and potato salad.
We had the wet brisket and chicken, beans and cole slaw. Very good. The chicken was excellent. We will go back.

Try the turkey you will not be disappointed. Cream corn is more like creamed heaven. Brisket very good also!

I'm from Memphis, worked at a BBQ joint there and I LOVE BBQ...I was skeptical when I went to Rudy's not only because I was going to eat BBQ somewhere other than Memphis but it's also a gas station and C-Store...So, I got in line and ordered a little of everything (I was there with my family so I had...
