My wife and I were in Austin over the weekend. Heard good things about Truluck's, so we decided to have dinner there on Saturday night. We did not have a reservation. The wait would have been about 45 minutes, but we decided to dine in the lounge area. The live music in the lounge influenced that decision. Our server was... More

I was a little hesitant to try the stonecrabs here. I have only had them at Joe's in Miami. They were delicious. All their seafood is fresh and well executed. The deaserts are a little too big for a couple to share but delicious as well. Very good service.

It was good but I'm still looking for that great Texan steak. I ordered the All Natural Rib-eye 16oz -- a huge cut that was a bit difficult to finish so I hardly touched the sides. It lacked seasoning and was a tad overcooked for medium. For the appetizer, the Baja Ceviche was quite refreshing. I didn't try any of... More

We managed to get a table late one evening after a very long day sightseeing and an early evening spent along 6th and West 4th Streets. Service was impeccable and the quality of the seafood and fish outstanding. The winelist was also good and the service attentive and friendly. Excellent choice for dinner in Austin

were driving around and found Truluck's. parking is not an issue as they have valet parking for $10.00. worth it than driving around for a parking space. reservations was needed and the Maitre Dei was very courteous to give us time whether to wait or sit by the bar area, have our meals and drinks. we ordered and we had... We had a wonderful dining experience at Truluck's! Our reservation was ready right on time, and they gave us complimentary champagne for not having the exact table ready we had requested, even though we didn't complain a bit - the table was absolutely fine. Appetizers of mussels, a wonderful green salad, fresh Dungeness crab (live from the tank) perfectly prepared,... More

I have dined at Truluck's quite a few times, usually for special occasions. I love the crab legs and lobster. The atmosphere is nice and there is a very good wine selection. If celebrating a birthday, they will bring out a complimentary chocolate bread pudding birthday cake. I appreciate the thought, but I am probably one of the few that... More

Great seafood, great crabcakes, great wines (they have Vouvray, and the waiters know what it is), great service, didn't have to dress up.

My husband, son and I had an impromptu dinner there after wandering in off of the street. The wine list was very complete, and our dinners fabulous. I had the scallops with a sweet corn chowder that was quite memorable, my son, the redfish. My husband's broiled halibut was mouthwatering. Being rather under dressed, I was not put off being...
