I was traveling from Georgetown to Charleston and looking for a good local restaurant for dinner. As I passed the Seewee, I decided to try it out and it was well worth the U-Turn! I had the special (Baked Grouper with Garlic Shrimp and added Creamed Spinach and Sweet Potato Casserole as my sides) I was very impressed. The Grouper... More

This hidden gem is outside of charleston and is a great place to stop in or out of town; the character is rustic and there are no frills but the food will keep you coming back. A perfect place to stop and get a contrast to either the upper crust attitude of the downtown Charleston restaurants or the cookie cutter... More

Locals introduced me to this rustic eatery and this was my second visit. Not exactly palatial, but an excellent experience. Tasty hush puppies, fish stew, local shrimp with a tasty rub and tender collards. Try it if you can find it. More

KOA sent us to See Wee as a favorite of the locals. At first glance we were hesitant but loved this place so much we went back later. The food was a little bit more expensive than I would have expected but was worth every penny. We were seated promptly both nights and one was a Friday. Draft beer was... More

The Seewee Resaturant, a converted old gas station/country store, is truly a southern experience. The food is definitely down home, and they have something for everyone. Freshly prepared vegetables of the day, seafood, chicken, soups, and more. It doesn't look like much on the outside, and the bathrooms are on the outside of the building, but it's delicious. Also, if... More

We ate here while camping at Myrtle Beach State Park and hiking in Francis Marion National Forest in South Carolina. Just driving by you would probably not give this restaurant a second look but that would be a mistake. This local restaurant in what is really called 'Seewee" a part of Awendaw, has great food. They really know how to... More

Warm, friendly atmosphere, funky decorations, complimentary hush puppies and some of the best she-crab soup in S.C. A great stop between Myrtle Beach and Charleston on Hwy. 17. More

The place is about an hour out of Charleston, but man is it worth it. a shack well designed with great services and hospitality. The She Crab is a work of art especially with some hot souce. Went on to have the soft crab, fried, another speciality that shouldnt be missed. To close it all off a key lime pie,... More

If you like fried food, and I do. This is the place for you. Its just a joint beside the road near Charleston but I make certain to eat at least one meal there on each of my trips to the South Carolina Coast. A southern fried menu with hush puppies and comfort food. The pies are great too---very, very... More

We ate here with family while on a visit in October 2011. All I can say is the food was excellent and plentiful, the waitress was a hoot, and the decor of the place will cause you to strain your neck trying to see all the things hanging on the walls on the ceiling. A very fun and full night... More
