I first tried Cilantro 10 years ago and I was impressed. The food was French with a Japanese influence cooked to perfection. 10 years had passed and I ventured into Cilantro wondering if it had maintained that unforgettable dining experience. Wow, I was again floored by the lovingly prepared, unexpected and delicious cuisine personally prepared by Chef Takashi. Cilantro had... More

Our 4th visit, still great but not brilliant this time. Let's be honest, this is not a cheap restaurant so expected to pay a bit more but with that kind of quality of food, it's definitely worth it. The restaurant decor is simple and quiet. Staff were all helpful and was able to explain the menu. The same sommelier we... More

When we first sat down, little servings of truffle butter was placed on the table, with bread (not homemade), the butter wasnt slated and the truffles were overpowering. Obviously used too much truffle oil. after a while, i literally got a headache cos it was too strong. I chose the 4 course menu - 2 appetisers, 1 entree, and 1... More

There are a lot of 'rule' to follow, the customer can not change the table if the air con is cold, can not share the food....Somehow, the staff gives an impression that they are overvalue themselves. There are more good restaurants in KL compared to Cilantro and not worth the price.

Very good fine food experience during my stay in KL , in this nice restaurant ! The tasting menu was interesting but I found some strong differences between each dishes in terms of achievement ! Some of them were more balnced in terms of freshness and taste , some other were clearly less accomplished like for exmple the hot duck... More

The restaurant has very good food and the service is friendly and efficient. I don't particularly like the building it is located in but the ambience is quite pleasing inside the restaurant. The food seemed quite expensive and the portions were very small. I will go back though.

on arrival to this cold and rather empty space (it was only 7pm) I was dubious it was VERY cold (need to adjust the AC) and it was a little like walking into a morgue. After a few more people came in it sort of warmed up but other than the chirpy face of an associate I knew it was... More

We were greeted with smiley faces when we arrived at the restaurant and seated at our table. There was only 1 other table at the restaurant but being a Monday night that was expected. Waiters and waitresses were polite and attentive without being too pushy. Ahmadi, our waiter explained the dishes to us and even answered our questions about the... More

After a prolonged absence we returned to Cilantro for lunch a couple of times recently. What to say? The dining room has very little natural light, the artificial lighting is not flattering and the layout is bizarre. Having said that, tables are not crowded. The service was OK, a little slow and lacking warmth and spontaniety while some of the... More

We enjoyed Christmas set lunch at Cilantro and savoured every mouthful. All dishes were beautifully presented and were exquisite. The portion sizes were small but just right for lunch. Comfortable seating, in a quiet restaurant. High end dining with finesse .... Do try it for a treat.
