One of the best Ramens I have tasted in Japan. I have been in and out of Japan in different cities for the past 25 years- from North to South, and I chanced upon this Ramen house in Osaka. Fantastic whichever you order. On this trip, I was on a holiday trip with a family of 5. So we ordered... More

Despite relatively small place, our waiting queue was moving fast. It was my first Japanese Ramen. Initially I was not impresses by the pictures and amount of fat in it; however, I quite enjoyed it (not to mention my other half who loved it!). Gyoza was awesome, the best I have ever had.

This gem is located just north of the Dotonobori. It is a very small Ramen house by western standards, as it seats around 15 people max. The burnt miso Ramen is heavenly but not as spicy as their house ramen. The noodles are a plentiful in the bowl and they are thin in diameter so they are not gummy at... More

Having Checked in I asked the local hotel staff where is a good place to eat noodles. I made it all the way to the HEP 5 store the one with the whale inside and got lost. Fortunately, I found a nice guard who pointed the way. The Que was long but it just meant the food must be good.... More

I tried the one in Singapore, was sorely disappointed and didn't think I'd bother with it again. But when I saw Japanese queuing for ramen (although forming lines seems to be a national past-time) I decided I had to give it a second chance. And boy am I glad I did! Yum. If you can take a little spice, try... More

I have been to Ippudo in Singapore and I felt that the ramen is average. We thought that maybe Ippudo in Osaka will serve better ramen, therefore we decided to visit the restaurant. The ramen is still average. I prefer the ramen in Ichiran and Kyushu Jangara.

Opposite Fraser Residence, OSAKA - great ramen - cozy ambience and cheerful service folks. Noodles was just right, soup was piping hot and tasty. You can customize with an egg, extra char siew, sea weed etc etc. Those who want extra noodles can also order that. On the table - a free flow of spicy bean sprouts, pickles, fresh garlic... More

Finding this place was abit of a challenge initially because Japanese addresses are a little difficult to find (no offence). But thank God a passerby understood me and showed me how to get to the restaurant. This place can get a little crowded, a often you'll see a queue outside the restaurant. But the wait was worth it, I had... More

The ramen is so tasty that I went there twice. Though expensive to me but it is worth every yen I spent there. The free ice tea is so refreshing after a hot day outside. There is no english signboard for "Ippudo Restaurant" that I walked by twice outside the restaurant. Had to ask local people nearby a couple of... More

I love Ippudo. The soup is thick and complex, the black oil (optional) on top takes it even higher, the noodles are cooked to order, the extra toppings never disappoint. Ippudo has gotten very popular and branches have sprung up in many locations. I like the original Osaka one in Shinsaibashi, though the Ikeda branch has a unique here-only menu... More
