Went there with hubby. We were so happy when we saw there's Ah Yat Abalone in Genting. End up very disappointed when we stepped out from the restaurant. Cannot believe that they use canned abalone. Almond milk dessert was tasteless. Shark fin soup, the soup is under average. Not worth for money. An absolutely rip-off!

This review is actually for the Ah Yat Abalone in Kuala Lumpur. I couldn't find that restaurant on TripAdvisor. Our family went there in August. We do have to admit they have good food. It was pretty expensive, but acceptable. However, this is not a honest restaurant. We ordered a snow crab, and we picked out the one we wanted... More

We have ordered the Abalone set menu and the abalone turned out delicious, did not disappoint us. Other food in the menu was good and delicious, especially the coconut pudding as dessert. The restaurant also has a good view facing the Twin Tower.

Food quality is so average despite paying so much. Service is lousy. My family have tried the branch in KL. My mom have also tried their branch in Genting and according to her, the quality isn't up to standard as well. Disappointing.

The food quality in Ah Yat Petaling Jaya seems to be deteriorated as compared with my previous visit and the branch in Avenue K. Some of the seafood (fish & crab) is not fresh, but yet they still serve it. Staff service is OK, they will change your plate each time a new dish is served. Overall, this restaurant is... More

The RM138 set was heaven! The abalone was succulent and sweet, the mini buddha jump over the wall delicious and the fish! Oh La La. I would recommend this to those who aren't afraid to spend and have a thing for chinese delicacies.
