We had lunch at Viejo Barrio. The food was good, the atmosphere was great - right in front of the church - and the service was the best we had in Uruguay.

We needed a quick meal before our ferry and wanted something in the city center. We all had pasta which was good. I would go again in the future.

I had a ravioli the was not good at all... poor pasta and too much water in the dish. Couldn't wait to leave the place.

Everyone was at The Drugstore next door, which should have been our first clue. Perhaps it was an off night, but all seemed quite average, so head to Marlo or La Casa de Jorge Paez Vilaro instead, if you want a great meal. Or maybe The Drugstore, which we didn't try, but was busy each time we walked by.

Went to Santa Rita the night before and paid too much for a very ordinary meal. Here the lomo was excellent and my wfe had garlic chicken which was tender and tasty. Both meals were accompanied by chips - but the best part of the experience was the 2004 Reserve Tanat, a delicious fruity red wine!

The food is good and the prices are perfect for a good restaurant. I would go back, but specially to meet again the waiter. We came here based off Tripadvisor reviews saying this place was great. I had a ravioli w/ bolognese. The bolognese was very good, but surprisingly the ravioli seemed as if it was premade/packaged ravioli... So I can't give a resounding recommendation for the ravioli itself except to say that the bolognese sauce was delicious.

Nice, clean, very well located. The staff is very friendly (in particular one of the waiters is famous). The food is good and cheap.
