Wonderful little place, really good guy running the place. The curry was probably the best we tried in SL, the king prawns were certainly the best i tried in SL. recommended More

the boys are onto a winner here - great food and perfect setting. Wonderfully fresh local seafood cooked simply leaving the ingredients to speak for themselves. Lovely guys too. A must. More

Aaaamazing garlic tiger prawns so fresh, husband had grill led seer also good. Table by the lagoon, so pleasant. Bought our own wine which they kept chilled on table, food presentation A! Only 5 tables so make a reservation, tell owner what u want and it will all be fresh! Going back today for lunch and fresh Sri lankan curry!... More

“A gem of a restaurant off the tourist track”

This is a very small, family-run restaurant with 4 or 5 tables. It is on the Bentota river with peaceful, scenic views across the lake. You can have a ride on their small catamaran before or after dinner to explore. You will need to ring the owner, Nandana, to book a table the day before as there is no menu.... More

We had a dinner at this restaurant with my husband during our holidays, and I have to say it was one of the best meals we had during our entire trip. Fodo was fabulous, ensure you ask for the tiger prawns in garlic. The owner is very attentive and will cook whatever you ask for. It is not the cheapest but I felt very good value for money. Only 4 or 5 tables so ensure you book in advance. More
