Description: Nazareth dishes with a Mediterranean , Mrrocan , Persian , Italian , French , and Indian twists !! and what a twist it was. It is our opinion that the food served here combined with the ambiance of a 200 year old restored mansion and the friendliness of the owner leaves all the other restaurants in Nazereth or Israel for that matter far, far in its wake!!

My husband and I went to Alreda around 7pm, walked in, and no one was around. We called and no one picked up. Since we were nearby, we went back to our hotel and came back around 8pm and were greeted and seated. All of the items I ordered on the menu were available, but my husband's first two picks... More

I come from Florence and I was in Nazareth for pilgrimage. One night I went alone to Al-Reda to have a beer. I met a very kind and friendly barman called Saher who speaks English and Italian very well. We talked about his life in Italy. The beer was very good. Sadly I didn't eat anything because I have already... More

Just back from a delightful visit to Israel. We began our journey in Nazareth where we stayed at an enchanting Bed and Breakfast above the Alreda Restaurant. Both are owned by the same owner Daher Zeidani. Daher has truly renovated this old home with traditional iniquities. The views from the bed and breakfast are breathtaking, literally a 360 degree vantage... More

It has been an ongoing love story with this unique resturant! A story that has begun years ago and is still going on. Whenever we want to eat out and enjoy a culinaric, special experinece then Al Reda is difinetly our one and only choice. First the atmosphere is wonderful, highly esthetic, the food is simply divine, and the staff... More

First Impressions: From an unassuming façade, the guest is ushered into a converted mansion with stone walls and cross-shaped vaulted ceilings. A piano sits forlornly to one corner. PROS: Location... location... location is its best asset. Located at the town centre, it sits near and overlooking the Basilica of the Annunciation. There is outdoor seating. The views from the upper... More

Saw the TA reviews and the NYT article. I was very excited to dine in Nazareth. As other mentioned the restraunt is a bit hard to find - but worth the walking. Couple of notes 1. Plan to spend a lot of time having a full meal - leisurely service 2. Very limited wine list 3. Menu vs. reality -... More

I went there with 2 tourists because they read about it in lonely planet book. We were with GPS and it took us forever to find it. Drove those little narrow very steep roads of Nazareth, finally we parked and had to walk and ask 3-4 times until we found it. The restaurant decorated nicely and the staff is nice... More

Dear Hillama ! Mysterious lack of precise memory is most significant in your review ! I will try to help you remember : Eggplant 28 i.sh = 5.6 euro, not “ 30 something shekels = 8 euro “ , salad 44 i.sh , sausages ( 6-7 sausages , not “4” ) 80 i.sh. , 2 kubbeh ( “pastry with meat... More

I had lunch at Al-Reda with a couple of friends after reading the New York Times review, and after hearing praises from friends who had eaten there. I was not disapppointed. The restaurant is located right behind the Basilica, next door to the lovely Covent of Mary, in a tiny, quiet alley. It's located inside a stunning, old Arab stone... More

El-Reda...or Areda on the sign posted outside on the street, was a gem of a discovery. It was my favorite find in Nazareth, and it was close to where I was staying at the Fauzi Azar in the old city quarter of Nazareth. The atmosphere is such that upon entering, you expect to turn your head and perhaps expect a... More

By far my favourite place to go in the city. Relaxed atmosphere, helpful and attentive service, and great food.
