the salads came with too much salt and lemon seasoning and were almost inedible, we ordered a fried fish freshly caught and it was very good. service was good, this + two deserts (better wait with desert, maybe ice-cream on one of the nearby streets) cost us 300ILS which is about US$80 More

Apparently, once our waiter, who was Arabic, found out that we were Jewish (most likely by oner of the questions we asked re the food), his attitude became very cold, even after one of us spoke a few words of thanks to him in Arabic. At the end of the meal, when we asked for the check, he went on... More

As other reviewers have noted, this restaurant sits (quite literally) above the walls of Akko and has marvellous views out across the Med. My party arrived and was immediately greeted in a friendly way by waiting staff. We asked for a window table and the waiter cleared one for us in a matter of moments. We ate seafood dishes, all... This restaurant has a very good location on top of the walls of the old citadel in Acre, overlooking the sea, but the food is quite average. The hummus and tahinni are bitter and the other meze (appetizers) are quite tasteless. The grilled fish is good, but not impressive and overall the food is pricey for what you get. I... More

We went to Doniana for dinner. The restaurant looked smart and was quite busy so we were hopeful of a good meal. We were ignored for a little while on arrival. Once we got seated we decided to move when a window table became available. This was arranged for us with no fuss. I ordered a glass of wine which... More

Food was really good. I used to think, that only quality matters. I was usually angry with people complaining about the service. But in that restaurant we felt some kind of discrimination. All the stuff was Arabian, one of us was Israeli, he talked to waiters and ordered our meals. They did nothing really offensive, but we've got some looks... More

Doniana has an elegant ambiance and is located on top of the old city wall (32 steps up) with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean. It appears to be frequented by locals and was busy both times we had dinner there. The food was very good with lots and lots of salads served before your entree. We ordered a tabouli... More
