Excellent food, good servings, terriffic flavor, friendly staff, would definately come back..... Based inside the Gateway Hotel - worth a visit for the food alone.

Varuna is not exciting but it is quiet, clean, and soothing. The food is very good if not particularly adventuresome

I had Maharaja Thali and it was heaven. To top the excellent food and service (they could improve on the lights though), we had the good fortune to listen to the incredible ragas played by Kanta Prasad Mishra. A MUST when in Varanasi.
