This restaurant is like a breath of fresh air, clean, cool and the food is excellent value for money. Service was excellent and we enjoyed it so much that we went there for a late lunch and then for breakfast again on the morning that we left.

I read the Lonely Planet reviews and went to have a look. The area surrounding the restaurant is a little 'grubby' but we decided to try it anyway. Best thali we had in India! We had the top of the range unlimited thali for Rs 200 and it was delicious. Lovely variety of veg dishes, pickles, breads and dessert. The...

we went here twice, both lunch and evening. staff were friendly, food was very affordable and tasty. It was completely full with locals at lunch time. Looks a bit grubby from outside, but we both ate well with no bad consequences! Thali is great value and they come and offer more.
Be careful..Its right in front of a garbage dump. The interiors are highly unhygienic as well. Food is simple and slightly over priced.
By far the best food we have has in Jaisalmer! Granted we are tourists and have not sampled all that the city has to offer, but we have tried other recommended ones such as Saffron- and this one holds it's own.
We had one Marwadi sp thali and one Rajasthani sp thali. The former had a few additions over the...

One of the better lassie's i've had, as well as the food. Really great! The owner came by and offered us more food and picked out his favorite dishes for us to try.
All the companies in Jaisalmer have contract with this restaurant as this restaurant is good in taste and pocket also. In the season time its always Jam packed. Try special thali of this restaurant with special sweet Kheer Cham Cham
The Chandan Shree is a very inexpensive, basic restaurant which is definitely popular among the locals although a number of foreigners do eat there. I agree with the reviewer who said it had little ambience, it England it would probably be classified as a 'Greasy Spoon' type place with formica table tops but we thought it would be interesting to...

It is recommended highly by locals if you are a vegeterian. We could not finish even 1 Pav Bhaji. It does not go closer to the taste that we get elsewhere even at other roadside joints
I am a travel writer and am surprised why people have written good about this restaurant. It appears they have gone by older reviews and have not surveyed the town to give their judgement in comparision to other restaurants.
Chandan Shree is a very unhygenic place with no ambience. The food tasted bad. The glasses were dirty, water jug was...
