We visited Clafouti 3 nights out of the 7 we stayed in Varkala. We had extrememly tasty fresh fish and we found the service and the value for money to be excellent. The views from Clafouti, as with most of the restaurants along the cliff, are wonderful. We would recommend this restaurant as a decent experience for a tourist restaurant.

The view of the beach is outstanding,the service is good and there is a relaxed ambience.The American breakfast is yummy and is very good value for money.

We loved Clafouti. Once we discovered this restaurant we came back every day. Either for lunch or dinner. Marvellous food, friendly service and a beautiful setting. So worthwhile!

We really enjoyed the food here - opted for a few curries that were quite nice. We also really enjoyed their breakfasts! Delicious! We'd often order a pot of coffee in the morning (which they bring to your table), sit and really enjoy the morning peace. It's a big menu, so it would satisfy a larger group or picky eaters.

I expected more - go to Trattoria or Abba - they serve much better food. It was not tasty, the salad a disappointment to what I had the nights before in the other places. This is a spot you can easily skip. there are much better options.

Seafood is cheap no doubt about that but the quality deteriorates with the same. Also be ready to be served by Nepali cook and staff who don't know what real Kerala food is. We only stopped for afternoon tea but really had to...we'd heard great things about the food. Can't really comment but if you want a meal with a stunning view then this is the place to be. From here you walk along the cliffs where there lots of stores with touristy things etc.
