If you can only eat in a restaurant, this may not be for you, but if want to sample the freshest and tastiest fried fish anywhere, Barbera's is a must. Lucky us, we usually find a place to park on the street, but nearby parking lots are available. Choose sandwiches or platters that include fries (outstanding) and slaw. My understanding... More

Promising when walking in. Smelt and looked like a true fish market. Disappointed with the quality of product that was in the case. When we got the fish home it smelt super super fishy. When cooking fish pretty sure all was frozen. Was very hopeful to have a local fish market but disappointed and will probably not be returning.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary and had lunch at Barbera seafood. I read good things about them online and they did not disappoint. Dominic (the owner) is top notch. We both had the flounder sandwich and fries. It was delicious. It was better than our dinner later that night (which was over $100). I believe they close... More

Let me begin by saying that a restaurant like Barbera Seafood is the perfect little place to eat that my wife and I try to find at every beach we visit, from Cocoa Beach to Atlantic City. No frills, simple, and clean little fish joint with ultra fresh seafood, seasoned and prepared to perfection. Service was great, too. Owner was... More

My fiancé and I from Philadelphia enjoyed the freshest seafood I've ever tasted. We walked in to a pair of courteous workers ready to serve us with awesome seafood. Dominic, the owner, has a great personality and is filled with tons of information. He is definitely a people's person. The Seafood combination is out of this world with an array... More

After a number of sub par dining experiences in Atlantic City, I found Dominic Alcaro's Barbera Seafood Market on my last day. When I walked in, he was rinsing fresh crabs and then turned and warmly welcomed me to the shop. After asking about the seafood platter, I ordered and proceeded to enjoy the best seafood meal I have every... More

I enjoyed my lunch. Fried whiting, fries and slaw. The fish was 4 2x2 nuggets...just enough to share for lunch.

We are from MD and seen this place on the way to White House Submarines. We came back the next day to try out. We were pleasantly surprised as the food is really good, service was great and not long on preparation whatsoever. Very courteous staff. I agree with the other good reviews I seen!

Next time you're in Atlantic City, take a three minute walk off the boardwalk from Trump Plaza to Barbera Fish Market on Artic Ave. (next to White House Subs). My husband and I stumbled upon this hidden gem on our way to White House Subs. We met Dominic, the owner, and while he prepared our crab cake sandwiches to go, he... More
