No matter what location you are going to- we were with my wife in three different ones-the food and service are very good. It is typical italian, but one can find on the menu some local dishes mainly the appetizers. As for the drinks menu is heavy on wines -try "Sangria" it is very authentic. On the price side it... Was quite surprised how good the food was here. We always said we should try and after 10 months of living here finally did. The service was great, food was decent, price was great. My wife got a combo meal, everything good except salad. I got a spicy red sauce which for once actually did have a small kick. Kids... More

I have eaten there twice. Both times the service was quite good. My food on the first visit was good. The food on the second visit was pretty good. Perhaps it had to do with the cut of meat that I ordered. This is a place to go for meat of various types. Restaurant has a good, safe and fun... More

There are several Il Forno's dispersed throughout the Cities of Medellin & Envigado. My wife and I usually eat at the one in Parque Lleras when American friends are in town. The restaurant seems to be popular at both lunch and dinner times. Most of the clientele appear to be Colombianos, and the restaurants seem to be popular with visiting... More

Been there twice this year on separate trips. Wide menu with many combinations of pasta, sauces, entrees and salads available. Very helpful server both times. Not cheap but good value for Medellin. We eat at the Parque Lleras location. Nice open air feel.

Dining out in the open air is no novelty to Medellin residents, but this comfortable venue provides indoor seating that is open to the outdoors for its Parque Lleras customers. This is the El Poblado location of the popular restaurant chain. Overlooking the street during one of October's frequent light rains, we started off with a pitcher of Sangria, loaded... More

The restaurant located on calle superior in El Poblado is an old house with very nice flavor, good favor, good service. The other Il Forno on la inferior street is on second floor on "Zona 2" mall with a nice view of the mountains. Good food, good service.Do not miss the natural juices they serve. Their prices are a bargain... More

This is a chain Italian restaurant that is everywhere here in Medellin. People here love Il Forno and I don't really understand why. It is Italian-like food, meaning lots of tomato-based sauces and lots of cheese. The menu is not original and the food is quite bland and very rich. The atmosphere is usually nice and it is a nice...
