While the outside / area surrounding Jalapenos leaves much to be desired, the ambiance inside and food is amazing. The Paella is authentic, large, and delicious mexican / spanish fare. I highly reccomend reservations!

Although Jalapeños is located in a strip mall it has A warm Mexican decor. Unbelievable fish encrusted with plantains and quessadillas. Excellent service and sangria. If you like Mexican this place is a must - certainly worth the trip out of historic district.

The food was quite bad. The salsa tastes canned not even comparable to Old El Paso bottled salsa (Which is only ok). It's chunky but not very flavorful. Main dish was ropa vieja, it was bad. Food here is fab!!! Great atmosphere, great bar, great dining room, great happy hour. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is in a strip mall adjacent to the Home Depot. The place is a gem.

Follow up visit. I ate here solo at the bar to take advantage of their happy hour specials. Once again service was excellent, food as good as my last visit.
