This is one of the nicest restaurants in Bucharest, considering food quality, ambiance, location. Their goulash soup is incredible, as well as all the other dishes I tried. But the ambiance, old, cozy, is the main selling point, it's very relaxing and unlike other places in Bucharest. The only shortcoming, imo, is that they're a little understaffed, which is noticeable... More

Nice place to have dinner in the city center, especially when sitting outdoor. Good Hungarian dishes.

I liked the atmosphere. I had a guest from Budapest and it was the best choice. Juli enjoyed the Hungarain food and I was creasy about the fish dish recommended by the nice waiter Great palinka and red wine!

We visited this Hungarian eatery in the Lipscani area on a cold Sunday and were impressed with the cozy, "old world" ambience. The service was friendly and efficient, but the food left me unimpressed. I ordered Pork ribs in a "BBQ sauce" and even asked the waitress, "is it good?" to which she assured me it was. Unfortunately it wasn't.... More

Had lunch with a friend here, on her recommendation (a local girl). Service was excellent and the food was very good indeed.

All at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed eating at this Hungarian restaurant twice, once on our first night of the holiday, once just before we left at the end. Both times we were made welcome, the language barrier wasn't and the staff were very helpful. Oh and the food was excellent!

The St. George Hungarian restaurant is in the busy city center near the national bank and is surrounded by streets lined with bars and other dining establishments. The menu on a pedestal outside looked good and a table outside was available so we gave it a try. The service was horrible! After waiting nearly 15 minutes we eventually flagged down... More

Was there with a friend for lunch. I recommend chicken fricasse (paprikas) with dumplings as side dish. Delicious. If you go there and it is not veru hot, try a gulash soup as well. Both options above are traditional hungarian dishes and are very well cookes at st.george Also nice that during this time of year (summer) they have a... More

This was a pleasant evening with better than average food but the prices were too high for what we ate really. Nice change from Romanian food however.
