Easy to have lunch here; quiet, service very good. A bit expensive, but peaceful, which we needed that day. We did not have to pay the museum entrance fee to have lunch at the restaurant.

My husband and I previously arranged to have the 7 course "La Cena del Oro" pre-fixe dinner at the MAP Cafe several months before our visit to Cusco. They used to offer this meal in the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, itself, for $375 per person, but it cost only $125 per person to have it in the regular restaurant. And it...

An oasis of good food in this Cusco restaurant. Trained in New York Jorge Luis is one of Peru's most noted chefs. MAP café is housed in The Museum of Pre-Columbian art. The menu is Peruvian and Andean focused. Will be a joy to those who enjoy good food.. Well done MAP
This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide and is just off of the main square. Our starters, main courses (salmon) and desserts were all delicious! The dining room is in a modern glass "cube" built in the courtyard of a colonial building/museum.
The place to have lunch, after you visit the Museum......located in the Nazarenas Square in near the top hotels in town.....Casa Cartagena, Plaza Nazarenas, Monasterio, Inkaterra and Fallen Angel.
From the moment we sat down the staff, especially our waiter (John) took care of us. The menu is carefully laid out with Peruvian inspired dishes. Compliments to the chef for pulling together so many flavor profiles. The quino canaloies and adobe pork are a must have. The atmosphere was classy, quite and inviting-- a nice escape from the hassle...

This is a really exceptional dining experience. The service by Yuri is worthy of any 5 star restaurant in any big city. Who would have guessed that such an interesting glass box food and service experience would be part of a museum.
Four of us went to the MAP Cafe on the recommendation of the concierge at the Monasterio Hotel. In simple terms it was AWESOME! We were looking for a light dinner...happily it was not to be...we went into this cafe which is located inside the Museo de Arte Precolombia and discovered a true gem! If you're in Cusco and want...

This is not the way they are traditionally done but the beautiful presentation made it less intimidating to try. He said it was delicious. I had the tenderloin...
