Emeralds is a great place for lunch. Surprisingly it isn't open for dinner but it's great for lunch or early afternoon. It's great for outside eating w some tree shade and plenty of umbrellas. The service is great and so is the food. It is well known for the coconut flavored fish, which is great. Portions are generous.

This restaurant is definitely a must-do on a visit to Quito. It has a warm atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. The food is absolutely delicious. They offer a wide variety of food from the coastal area of Ecuador for any seafood lover, but also have great dishes for those who don't eat seafood. ¡Que rica!
