We were very excited to try this restaurant. It was recommended by our hotel concierge and Trip Advisor. We went on a Wednesday evening. There was no one in the restaurant, though there were many people at other restaurants in the surrounding area (that should have been our first warning). The owner was there, and was trying to be friendly.... More

We went to the Cafe recommended by our Hotel Acontraluz. This was our first night in Valparaiso and we wanted somewhere close by and reasonably priced. The Cafe is small and has a feeling of a French Bistro, with only about 6 tables and a counter. The waitress explained the menu as our Spanish is not so good. I had... More

Delicious food! We had osso buccomams (cooked for 27 hours!!) and a beef roll dish and both were excellent. Waitress was lovely and explained everything in English for us. The chef came out to say hi to all tables and make recommendations. Certainly worth a visit.

The service was excellent. The Chef came out to discuss the meal with us. Our waitress was patient and knowledgeable. The good food was a plus. :)

Many reastaurants in Cerro Concepcion are closed Sunday so it was nice to find this little gem open (for dinner 8 to 12 Sundays). Owner/Chef Gonzalo Lara was on site over seeing his operation. Our waiter was great explaining all the menu options for us English speaking guests. Nice as it was her first day on the job. Gonzalo suggested... More

We stopped in for lunch here because our local guide recommended them. It was well worth it. Really nice food, full of flavour and they have several lovely wines to accompany meals.

We had a great lunch at this little gem in Cerro Alegre. We were personally waited on by the chef (owner?) who has a great personality and gave us a detailed description of each dish. Traditional Chilean food with a twist. This was definitely one of the better meals we had in Chile.

Four of of ate here and each of us loved our entree. Wine was excellent, and wait staff was helpful. We stopped by each day to connect to wifi to check email. A fine restaurant in a neighborhood of fine restaurants and beautiful street art.

We didn't find the food in Chile to be all that inviting but this restaurant has kicked things up a notch or two. It had an innovative menu and was great value for money. As in many other restaurants, we picked a main and an appetizer that more than satisfied. Excellent ambiance here too with a good mix of tourists... More
