Very busy with lots of local people. Nice atmosphere, music and singing. Father and daughter take turns singing to the backing of a trio. Good value food, no frills, but well cooked and presented. Best to reserve as when we visited people were being turned away.

“The place to go”

Every time I am in Valparaiso, I go there again and again and again. It is just one of the most typical places I have ever seen. The walls are full of souvenirs and the singers are great. Eat a Chorillana, have a beer, listen to the old guys singing songs and forget trouble of the world outside!

The food was nothing special. I had to pay 6000 for a main dish of stew with tomatoes. There is no menu, so I could not check it. Also for the local beer puerto .... I had to pay 1800. It is simply not worth the money.
