Never eating at Killiney Fortune Centre again. Ever since the shop was renovated, food quality is on the floor and portion size are ridiculously small. Though the prices are remained unchanged. Sharing our experience from today lunch 26/07/2023. Guys, DO NOT ever order prata with...mutton curry (or) Udon noodles. 1) Parata with Mutton curry - as you can see in the attached image, serving portion is just 2 mini mutton + 2 mini potato and gravy is stick to the hotplate - Oily Prata 2) Undon with Ebi - more like undon with plain water - Ebi is super oily and makes everything worseMore

This branch at Duo Galleria is conveniently located near the mrt. I am delighted with the generous portion of ingredients used in the assam fish dish. There are brinjals, lady fingers, tomatoes, green chillies and of course chucks of fish. Value for money. I wish...the assam sauce is less thick and less salty. The masala tea comes in a small glass shot but sure packs a punch. A must try is the chicken fried rice. The pepper beef is also not bad. Will come back again. They only accept cash or GrabPay.More

This review is for Killiney @ Duo Galleria It was early-mid afternoon when I decided to get a kopi (coffee) here. There was no queue and no one else ordering at the counter. I placed my order for a single kopi and paid cash. The...young skinny Chinese guy at the counter gave me my change and indicated I wait for my coffee. I waited in front of the counter for my coffee. As I waited, subsequent patrons went past me up to the counter, placed their orders and collected their drinks and/or food. The went on for a bout 3-4 patrons. Finally the same young guy looks my way and asks to take my order. At that point I remind him I had paid him cash earlier. Suddenly a connect was made and he told someone to make a kopi for me. No apology, no acknowledgment that a mess up had occurred - just acted as if nothing had happened. At that point I called him back and told him off - loudly but politely. The elder coffee server apologized to me when I found out - but the young guy acted as if nothing had happened- despite him being the cause of this service failure. I got my coffee and it was good - but I can't imagine patronising this outlet again. I understand mistakes are made - but owning up to them and apologizing would have fixed the problem for me.More

One of the most famous local kopitiam (cafe) that has a lot of franchise outlets all over Singapore. The kaya toast (toasted coconut jam & butter sandwich) is really nostalgic for locals who grew up eating it. Even foreigners are loving it. Some other local...favourites are the curry chicken, mee siam, laksa and soft boil eggs served with pepper and soy sauce. This is a great place to bring foreign friends to introduce them the traditional local breakfast culture.More

It has been surprisingly busy here despite the pandemic (or maybe because of it, with more people working from home in the vicinity). Visited a few times in the last few months - not always easy to get a table and sometimes it has been...completely full. Tea and toast remains consistent as with previous visits.More

Lousy food!!!! For $12.80, the prawn pasta i ordered turned out to have only 3 small pathetic prawns, like those served in a primary school canteen. Along with the pasta, came some small clams and sotong. But, seriously, is this PRAWN pasta or seafood pasta?...I asked the eatery. They said it is prawn pasta. Hello, there is a seafood pasta in your menu. What's the difference?!!! Worst food! The pasta is soggy and overcooked. The prawns' shells were not removed and one of them didnt even seem edible. Btw, i ordered lemon drink and what I got was cold water with 3 thin slices of lemon in it. How lemony! And this drink cost $2.20. Oh my goodness, I had never really complained about my food much. But this pasta really turns me off. I didnt finish it. The fries which we ordered came out lukewarm too. Please go elsewhere and not eat at Kiliney Cheong Chin Nam. Regrets. My bad for choosing this place for dinner.More

I’ve been back here a few more times this month for tea after lunch. Always very popular so that it can be difficult to get a table at times. Tea is of the same standard as any of the other local chains.

I ordered online a few products from them. After more than 10 days, no updates, no emails from them. When I wrote to them asking them about my online order, their staff was defensive and kept insisting that they had 5 days to deliver. Now...I have to wait another 2 days to receive my products ordered online. Don't order online their products. They do not care about service.More

I returned to the Killiney outlet at Fortune Centre in Feb for another tea and toast experience after lunch in the same building. On this occasion we were able to get a table without too much difficulty, but it can get very busy at this...venue so luck needs to be on your side. Usual standard: no complaints.More

Great all day local food which was close to our serviced apartment and a good place to meet friends. Wide choice of local Singaporean favourites to suit my western palate and local friends. Always busy but friendly and relaxed.

This is a small restaurant, filled with locals. We ordered the toast with coconut jam, soft boiled egg, and a noodle dish. The toast and the noodle dish were both delicious. The egg was a little too runny for my taste but I think that...is the way the locals eat it.More

With me being new to the Singaporean cuisine (certainly new to the local breakfast) Killiney was recommended as the spiritual home of the Kaya toast with soft boiled eggs. While the dish was a nice experience, I have to say I am not the greatest...fan of it. Toast with coconut flavour will not become a staple of my diet - but that is a personal preference. Killiney’s service was excellent and prices are very competitive. I went back next day and enjoyed their Mee Rebus (and Mee Siam). Popular with the locals and a place worth going to - only a few meters away from the shopping district with its mainstream offerings.More
