i have a half blood from manado so i like to find the manado's restaurant and beautika is good enough.
Manado has a distinct cuisine - very spicy, containing some new world elements (beans and corn), heavy on fish and really interesting combinations of food. I've eaten here at least five times and try to go back every time I'm in Jakarta.
This restaurant features the best example of Manado food that I've found - and the original location is...

it's an average for me, but don't get me wrong, peeps who enjoy very very spicy food will love this place (notice the use of 2 "very" words).
Place was small but suprisingly clean and cozy. Food selection could be a little confusing at first but their waiters are kind enough to explain them (but I'm not sure how is...

Those who love Menado food must try this resto. The food is quite hot, so beware of stomach trouble. In fact the food is yummy, and they provide with genuine pastries also. Parking is rather hard to find. The price is rather high, but goes well with the taste.
This's one of my favourite place when I lives in Jakarta, the food is freshly cooked with strong flavour, you have to try many fish style both spicy and non spicy, as well as how they cook the veggie - bunga papaya is my favourite.
Being half-mandonese, I can say that this place offer almost authentic manado taste. Too bad they don't serve pork, though.
I'm not a big fan of spicy food, but I looove all the food here. Cakalang garo rica, pisang goreng saos roa, tinutuan (bubur manado), tumis bunga pepaya and eskacang merah are my favorites. All the jajanan pasar are so tasty, it's hard to choose one. A bit pricey compare to other manado restaurant, but still reasonable. The service is good,...

My hubby tried the Paniki (it was the first time he tried Manado food) and he loved it. Wish we have Manado restaurant in my region, as...

This is not the spiciest food ever, but it will knock you out if you think jalapeño peppers are spicy. Ayam Rica and Cumi Tinta are my favorites. Not a big fan of bats, still too gamey, and thank you for the many ACs they have inside, they are definitely helpful.
