We went here the first time and had mushroom soup, tomato soup, steak, panna cotta (they call it pudding) cause it is Italian, not French. Both soups very very tasty, usually you expect that local Chinese cooks don't have the little bit of extra feeling for the "how" to make it taste like foreign cuisine, but here I was surprised.... The lack of foreigners in this restaurant says it all. The tablecloth was stained and the cloth napkins have been replaced with paper serviettes. The vase held dead flowers and at first I thought the Chinese staff had left the TV playing a game show - I was told it was the "music". Oh dear oh dear oh dear. I... More

Well, we heard about this little gem from a friend and to be honest we were skeptical. What I can say is that the food was magnificent to be honest. We had the 99RMB (15USD) set menu and chose a soup starter (potato/leek), main course as duck and for dessert a vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. My wife had... More

I spent lots of time traveling to Nanjing on business. Met some westerners on evening and they suggested me this place. I was not disappointed. I bit pricey, but inline with other similar establishments. Good selection of wine!

A good restaurant that both my western and Chinese friends enjoy. The salads, fish, pasta, everything is very good. I have never been disappointed in my many visits.

Nice, cozy restaurant with great food and good prices. The wine list is respectable and the service is great. We will be returning soon!

I arrived in Nanjing two months ago and had walked past Les 5 sens several times thinking it was just another overpriced French restaurant. I finally gave it a try this evening and came out very satisfied with the dining experience. The food, the service and the atmosphere were above average for the cost. I had Caesar Salad, duck breast... More

Salads are very enjoyable. I like the small and intimate feeling here. Food is farmhouse French not fine dining French.

Due to a food allergy that I have to certain ingredients (especially garlic) I found out that they couldn't accommodate my requirements since the food was not freshly prepared. Many things are prepared earlier and just heated up in the microwave, I was told by the waitress. Very disappointing. I finally ordered some duck breast, taste average, price way above... More

We enjoyed many meals at the Sens and were always pleased. The staffs aim, is to please all who come to dine. The menu is set up for individual meals or as a three coarse dinner to include appy / main & dessert. The steak with pepper sauce was my favourite and soups were very tasty!
