The door man at our hotel recommend this one plus the one across the street (that one was ridiculously overpriced so we skipped it....) instead trying this one... we ate here perhaps 4 times and only during the insanely jammed up lunch hour when we were clearly completing with hungry hoards of office workers (who know that good food lies... A true taste of Hong Kong. There are many Cha Chaan Teng Restaurants in Hong Kong but this is one of the best for local comfort food to a high standard. Its popular, bright and busy, most people only stay about 30 minutes, but you can usually get seat. Its tasty and affordable. They have daily specials with rice and... More

If a tourist friend wants a causal authentic Hong Kong cuisine, that's where I will take him/her. That's real Hong Kong style where local eats. & It's tasty at very affordable price. The ambience is the "real HK" (like Chinatown, it's noisy). You will be amazed many investment bankers of HK go there regularly. (It's the Denny's of HK, as... More

Great all hours food with you want Chinese or a Hong Kong version of western food is something that everyone. Even better if you can find one that is open 24 hours for a quick bite on the way home.

We went here because most of the restaurants on wellington street were closed post 11pm. They don't serve alcohol but they have quite an extensive menu. A lot of people were having noodles. We had some too as well as Malaysian curries- chicken and beef. All the menu items are in English and most of them have a little picture... More

Having only one night stopover in HK and staying at Marriott, we decided to try the renown Tsui Wah Restaurant at the Hong Kong Airport believing that it offers authentic hong kong food. We arrived at around 7pm. The receptionist asked us to wait while she confirms whether there's a table of 2 available. after 10 mins she apologetically asked... More

Chanced upon this place across of Yung Kee restaurant, where we intended to eat. It was a good thing we turned around from Yung Kee since their food was pricey so we considere this instead. Plan B turned ouy to be a far better pick! It wasn't over hyped and didn't even see it had good reviews, kind of just... More

This is NOT an elegant place. At lunch the cacophony is well, loud. And for some reason the fact that you only get one menu annoys me, but I love the Malaysian curries...and the milk tea. Tonight I tried a HK fav: toast with condensed milk on it...Ok. sounds kind of awful but it's apparently a HK fav. It was... More
