Maxim's Palace City Hall is different from other Maxim's Restaurants, though they are in the same group. please note. In my experience, this should be the best of Maxim's group. This is also the reason why there is no telephone booking. All patrons have to queue up in person. If you do not want to queue up for your table,... More

This is not the best Dim Sum in Hong Kong, but it is a Hong Kong institution, its been here for decades and is one of the few where the food is served off of trolleys. If you like what you see on the trolley, point to it and the waitress with serve it. Could not be simpler! Its very... More

Watch the trolleys whizz by with hot delightful treats it's fun to the family to look out for what's coming and when the food is on the table it disappears so quickly. One of the great Hong Kong institutions.

This is apparently an institution and my first time here. With 80s decor and a very large dining hall, this has the "authentic" look of the dim sum place with the traditional carts to complete the look. We quickly settled into ordering from the carts. The traditional favorites like carrot cake, chicken feet, pork buns etc. were all good. We... More

We've heard so much about how good the Maxim's in City Hall is so in February we went to CityHall as they were about to open to get the first tables. The place was too big and their dimsum carts were not enough I noticed several tables like us were calling the carts to go to us but the ladies... More

On the second floor of the City Hall complex, the expansive beautiful dining room has a view of the harbor. We arrived at 10:45am on a Friday morning just as a line was forming for the 11am opening. By 11:45, the room was full. And dim sum is served only until 3. All the items on the plentiful dim sum... More

We had a hard time looking for this restaurant but I'm glad we found it! Expect a long queue. We waited for 35 mins for our number to be called on a Saturday lunch. Everything is great! I love the ambiance and the food! Best dimsum ever though i little bit pricey. We will definitely dine here again!

Personally, I find this one of the best dim sum places in HK. Located in City Hall, come here early to avoid disappointment. The place fills up really fast, especially on weekends when big groups of locals come for breakfast with the whole family. Just goes to show how good it is. They push the dim sum around on trolleys... More

Maxims is always full and don´t take reservation but you don´t need to wait too long until you get a table. Their dim sum is full of classics. Very nice to enjoy with family and friends and reasonable prices.
