Wow! I went here for a business meal for two people but without a reservation. It's a little hiddena nd not obvious where the restaurant entrance actually is - look for the guy in a turban standing outside a couple of glass doors leading tot he first floor. We only had time for a relatively quick dinner and let the... More
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: This place recommended to me by a long term HK Indian resident as "the only place they will eat Indian out in HK". I have to agree. This should be your ONLY choice for Indian in HK. As a local resident, I've struggled to find 'good' Indian which offered good food, good service, nice ambiance at a reasonable... More
The location of Tandoor is ideal for anyone in Central/Mid levels, could not be any better. It's easy to get a table, and the decor is very upmarket. A waiter was with us immediately, and we received attention throughout. The buffet itself has a very wide selection of mains as well as salad and dessert. The quality of the buffet... More
Enjoyed the lunch buffet at Tandoor yesterday while exploring the mid-levels. The chicken tikka masala was wonderful, as were the samosas. The buffet had around 8-10 dishes, and a selection of fruit and chutneys. Naan served at the table. It was not the best Indian food I have ever eaten, but it was pretty good! A great choice, moderately priced... More
Our cousins who stay in HK took us for a lunch to the restaurant. The place was busy and filled with expats (Indian and Western), office goers and leisure travelers. The buffet we had there was very good. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. The starters were great (some people really relished the 'pani puri' but I found it... More
The dinner buffet around $230 is excellent! Make sure you go with an appetite. One of the best Indian buffets in Hk. The waitresses can be too attentive when you are trying to enjoy dinner but that's better than bad service! Will be back as always :)
Dinner buffet was plentiful. Especially liked the pani puri. Kebabs were good. Can't fault much. I found the service good, and not overbearing. The best part was the live Indian music. Have not been to other Indian restaurants in HK so cannot compare, but to other places in Asia and the US, food is comparable. The meat is halal.
The decor is excellent and the service was similarly good. All care and attention was lavished upon me. I took the evening buffet and it was very good value. The food was delicious, full of flavour with a minimum of heat. There was an excellent range of vegetarian food available as well as meat dishes for the carnivores. Heat was... More
