Being pure vegetarians, we were short of choices during the long trip. We did try ordering veg food at some mixed food Indian restaurants. Woodlands came out top. After the 3rd day, atleast one meal was had here. Food / choices were minimal but of good quality. Surprised to find that this place is run by a Muslim: Mr. Khaleel.... More

My son does like South Indian Food, so all our HK trip planning was around Woodland. Note that it is inside a shopping center on Mody road.so it took me a few minutes to locate it. The interior is not all that great! But you do get authentic south indian food. Its expensive as well- an idli + dosa+ 2... More

Seating area wasn't bad but very noisy. Food is good and it can be big if you are not a big eater. I wasn't impressed with the service, they don't seems to know who order what... But if you are not fussy this is the place to go when you are in the area.

The location is good. The spread of food is reasonable with both North Indian and South Indian food being available. However, the food itself is average and highly overpriced. May want to try the South Indian Thali if in the vicinity.

We much regretted that we miss the other Indian restaurants upstairs instead going to this Woodlands.Everything ruined our lunch there, the extremely rude staff, the dirty toilets, hairs found in the food and most of all the food was terribly tasteless. There is a center where you can lodge a complaint with Hong kong authorities and the matter will be investigated and actions will... Its been around since years and one visit there, one knows why. It delivers with no frills. Thats what is good about it. No jazz. Traditional and makes one feel at home. Great sambhar, dosa, idli, uttapam. The Thali seemed very popular, though, I didnt try it in this trip. One meal there, recommended, if one loves south Indian food.

My search for (south) Indian food in Hong Kong ended when I was introduced to this restaurant. The layout and decor are very mediocre, much like the Udupi restaurants of Mumbai. The service also is rather poor and the waiters looked very harrassed on both the occasions that I visited this restaurant. The level of hygiene and cleanliness also left... More

It is a simple no nonsense restuarant. The food was average (we ordered south indian thali, as we were craving for one). The food is a nice change for there are very few restaurants serving south indian cuisine in hkg but much to desire. The taste and quality were a let down probably our expectations were higher! An good option... More

Very average. Tired looking restaurant. The floor felt a bit slippery as we walked in. I looked at the tiles and appears it was slippery probably due to grease. The south indian thali was very average. We ordered lemon rice- the meny said it was not hot but was pretty hot in reality! Worst part was that there was a... More
