Really good Japanese food and saki - if you're a fan of sushi, then this is the place to go in Nairobi. More

The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. The portions are good. Service was good. It is a costly place to eat. The ambience is destroyed by only one thing ... their cafe style menus. If you love sushi, sashimi or any other Japanese food it is worth a visit. More

This place is good value for money and staff are helpful. With that comes the fact that this place really needs a refit to freshen it up, the oriental touches comes across as very '70's and the Menus look tired. Sitting at a BBQ is probably your best bet More

I had a meal with my wife and we are certainly going back. It's very crowded, especially in weekend, so better have a reservation. We didn't so we had two seats at the bar but was a nice place to see food in the making. Staff are nice but service is a bit slow. If you like sashimi go for... More

Ate dinner last night with an old friend just in town for the weekend so we decided to splash out a bit and oo to Furasato. It was lovely. The outside seating was nice, but dominated by smokers, but thanks to the breeze, it wasn't caustic. Inside, we sat at the tappinyaki table (spelling?). The chef kept pace with our... More

Off the beaten path (or so it seemed to me). The hotel car service dropped us in front which had nice outdoor seating. Once inside, reminded me of a japanese restaurant in the U.S. The menu was large, and significant options to chose from. Service was a bit slow, but then again the restaurant was absolutely full with persons waiting... More

Very nice atmosphere, clean, friendly place. Food was good. Sushi was not the most amazing I've had but it was good. Service was fast. Sake was not great, it was a bit sour. But overall a very nice atmosphere, good food and a place I would go back to! More

This restuarant does have good food, but if you have been to Japan, it's more Asia fusion ... sort of. More

Furusato has by far the worst food I've had in Nairobi. I ordered a boxed dinner and was at first shocked by the small portion sizes and then grateful because everything tasted so awful I couldn't finish one thing on my plate. It's also exceedingly overpriced for what is offered and especially when considering the quality of their flavors. The... More
