Tried this restaurant based on reviews read, but guess its different strokes for different folks..I'll begin with the surroundings or decor if you can call it that here - more like a disorderly canteen, thats on a tight budget - messy and disorganised layout with some poorly appointed ''private rooms'' adding to the gloom. If this doesnt dissapoint you enough,... More

Had lunch last month & as usual the Tibs was great. Also had the mince meat option, cant recall the ethnic name. Bandas are clean, the waiter was helpful with descriptions. The mixed fruit juice was fresh and sweet. Even did a take-away option for the Tibs & the food was packed well More

The restaurant boasts authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The service is not brilliant because of the general appearance of the waiters, their communication skills and their attire doesn't add to the ambience. The food is tasty however some more effort could be made on consistent quality and presentation. The food is excellent for sharing, withh good portion sizes and value for money. More

I fell in love with Ethiopian food when I was living in Addis - there are a number of good Ethiopian restaurants in Nairobi but Habesha is by far the best when it comes to shiro. More

Habesha was quite a disappointment and the service was really unprofessional. My family and I were very disappointed. The ambience was really lacking. The waiters were unprofessional in their dressing and way of serving. My family and I were not impressed with the overall service in Habesha! More

Habesha is a fine Ethiopian restaurant. I've been a number of times and I've never had any problems with the quality or quantity of food. The service has always been excellent. (The menu does say it takes time to prepare.) The Tusker has always been ice cold! I've said it in other reviews and I'll say it again here --... More

Food is ok but service is awful, chaos. Owner known as "Tolcha"is extremely rude and yells at his employees like an old cow!!! Needs to undergo some mental treatment. More

The experience of eating Ethiopian food is great and while certain dishes were delicious it wasn't my ideal meal and I felt ill afterwards. The venue is a bit rustic. Worth a try for a bit of adventure but not a regular visit. More
