Ranalo Foods has earned it's name from the great food that's served hot from the kitchen and the quick service from the ever busy waitstaff. Definitely a must-visit... More

Stopped for a quick lunch at Ranolo foods with a friend. We ordered Chicken, chapati, Ugali, Sukuma, and Tilapia. There is an outdoor seating area. Service was great. This place is not fancy. It is partly roof-top and partly enclosed. Come for the fish - it is great. Eat with your hands. Drink a couple of beers and dance to the energetic music. This place serves Western Kenyan style food and serves as the local hangout for Western Kenyans in Nairobi. The musicians may be also Western Kenyan... More

This is a well known and legendary restaurant in Nairobi famous for serving cuisine from Western Kenya. Unfortunately, the quality and availability of the dishes is variable. The ambiance at lunch time is that of a busy canteen. You buy a meal ticket and then go collect the meal from the man controlling the buffet spread. There are loud televisions... More
