A meat & potatoes kind of place, Charlie Papa is great for families with kids, which makes it crowded and noisy, especially on weekends. If you don't mind that, the food is good and portions are generous and relatively inexpensive. More

I moved to Bolivia from the USA a year ago. Having spent much time traveling and living in Bolivia - if you are craving "American Food" and atmosphere, Charlie Papa" is your place. Similar to an Applebee's or Chili's in USA. We eat there at least once a month and enjoy the good food and casual atmosphere. Our favorite is... More

My friend and I were taken here by a family friend, and it was one of the greatest gastronomic experiences of my life. Probably the best food that I've ever had Everything was cooked really well and the staff is very friendly and helpful More

I went with 3 work mates. It is a big place with all you can ever wish on the menu from drinks or food. The service was good and the food very reasonable, although not top notch. Perfect place for a chat with friends. More

I have eaten all over in Bolivia and this is by far the best place to dine. Food was awesome, service was great and prices were reasonable. "Sudafrica" is the best Hamburger I've had ever. (including the states) More

Decided to give it a second try, it was the same disappointment...everything was greasy, specially the "Monte Cristo" sandwich. The burger was terrible, the proportion between the patty and bread was not balanced, the bread fell apart. Very dry chicken wings! Service was terribly slow if it wasn't for the kids play area this place would collapse. For more tips... More

While visiting friends in La Paz, we ate at 'Charlie Papa' twice in a 10 day period. It is very Americanized and similar to a Chili's and or Taco Mac. The portions are quite large so make sure you order the "half size." And, the juices are excellent. The service is good but not superb. More
