My husband and I were very pleased with the food here. Best Falafel we have ever had!! We also loved the Kibbe there. We were in Haifa for two days and ate there both days! Even took a sandwich to go!

Falafel Hazkenim is an institution in Haifa because its been around for so long, just like Michelle, a falafel joint right across the street. Both are located in Wadi Nisnas, an old Arab neighborhood in Haifa that is safe and interesting to walk in. However, for a falafel foodie like me, who also prefers healthier options, I find both the... More

Lots of people will tell you it’s probably the best Falafel place in Haifa, but I must disagree. The place itself is very unpleasant, small, crowded and stuffy. The food is not any better than most other Falafel places. I was very disappointed form my visit there.

The felafel is juicy, simple, with a special flavor of Cumin spice, in a Pita, with one type of salad, Tehinee sauce, and a smile form the owner, who likes his food and his customers. A small place in a heart of the old part of Haifa,.

HaZkenim is a real Israeli icon. The VERY friendly staff welcomes you with a Falafel ball dipped in Thina. From that moment till you leave this fantastic place you are into a Falafel trip. The best Falafel balls and Thina I have ever had (I am an expert in this). A MUST if your are in/around Haifa. Do not forget... More

As most of the comments mentioned before me - the best falafel in Israel. A "must" food stop while you visit Haifa and traveling through Wadi Nisnas. If you come in paors (or more) you may try also "Falafel Michel" and decide which one is the winner for you.

Best falafel in the country! How do I know? It says so on its sign "best falafel in the country". And who am I to argue. It had the color, it had the texture, it had the crispness, it had perfection. Well done!! Btw, turn around and there's a falafel michel, "best falafel in the neighborhood". Only in Israel.
