I agree with the person who wrote about getting our of Phnom Penh, thus us the place to do that. Nice wine as well. Order the fish n chips. They're great! Staff are super nice as well.
Public House is where I go when I want to get out of Phnom Penh for just a bit. The modern decor, sophisticated cocktails, and great western food make it feel as though you are temporarily in a trendy bistro in NYC, London, or the like. It is a bit on the pricy end though.
We saw this in the advisory polls so we thought of checking it out. Location: It's located in the charming harry potter-esque street 240 1/2. When we entered the alley, we missed it so i think a slightly more noticeable sign is in order. Atmosphere: But once we went inside, it was nice--not so much like a pub, more like... More
Very good high end take on British pub grub. The chicken snitzel was top drawer and the burger and kumera chips tasty too. We sat at the bar and the stools could do with a cushion- if there is room, take a table (busy when we visited). It's along a very dark alleyway so don't be perturbed when the tuk... More
Public house has got many things right. The decor is stunning and homely and has a really intimate feel. Like Bar Sito, really could be anywhere in the world which not many places in Phnom Penh can pull off. So now to the menu.. There are no starters offered.. Even bread and olive option would have been nice, but they... More

A friend of mine invited us here while my mom was visiting Cambodia. It was a wonderful place to meet, as the atmosphere was fun yet pleasant for conversation and the food was AMAZING. I normally don't order chicken schnitzel in fear that it will end up too dry, but decided to go for it. The guys at Public House... More
Public House claims to be pub fare but to me it's more like a modern Bistro which is rare in Phnom Penh. Some claim to be but fall short and Public House delivers in spades. From the moment you walk in you are transported into another city, a small hole in the wall place on the East side of NY... More
I have been living in Cambodia for over 3 years and am incredibly passionate about good food, good service and great atmosphere when it comes to the dining experience. Public House is hand's down Phnom Penh's best restaurant currently and is every tasteful expat's best dining secret. Hidden down a secret back alley that makes you feel like you are... More
Probably ambition is one of the biggest problem of this society, but when you plan to open a restaurant, serving food and wine, and you have a famous and trendy bar, (Bar Sito) you need to understand food rules. I went to this place two weeks ago, because Bar Sito's staff introduce me, and I discovered how owners of the... More
